Frédérick Castonguay joined Trinity Gate Investments in June 2022 as Managing Director – Investor Relations and is the Head of the Montreal office.
Having been a long-time client of Trinity Gate Investments before joining, and with over two decades of experience in finance and executive leadership roles, he possesses a deep understanding of the evolving needs and priorities of Canadian institutional investors.

Before joining Trinity Gate Investments , Frédérick served as Chief Investment Officer at 1642 Capital for seven years, where he oversaw strategic investment decisions and portfolio management. He previously also held a position as Senior Director, Investments, Pension Funds at Rio Tinto Alcan, where he managed assets totaling over $12 billion, and as Pension Fund Investment Manager at Abitibi- Consolidated.
Between 2007 and 2015, he also served on the board of directors of Ivanhoé Cambridge, one of the world’s largest real estate investors.
